Collecting your customer’s email to the SendinBlue campaign list is an annoying thing to a customer and often we miss the data. That is why we intended to create a minimalistic method to add customer email to campaign list. When customers about to place the order on the WooCommerce checkout page, WooCommerce collects the customer’s name, email and other information for order details. So we made a smart move thereby placing a simple and minimalistic opt-in checkbox so customers also won’t feel get annoyed with popups and questions and so on. This plugin also gives an option to mark the newsletter subscription by default, at anytime customers can opt-out before checkout. This process will capture the customer’s name, email and send them directly to the defined SendinBlue subscription list.
How to Get SendinBlue API Key
While logged into your account, click on your name at the top right, then on SMTP & API or visit this page while logged into your account: https://account.sendinblue.com/advanced/api.
Under the API keys tab, you will find two API keys: one for each version of the API
From there you can get the V3 API Key
- Upload the plugin files to the
/wp-content/plugins/directory or install the plugin through WordPress Plugin screen directly.
- Activate the plugin through the \’Plugins\’ menu in WordPress
- Go to WP Admin –> Subscription Menu
- Once configured it will display the checkbox under the customer detail section of the checkout form.
Does this plugin makes the user auto-subscribed ?
Yes. If its enabled as auto-checked in configuration page.
Can be used without WooCommerce ?
This plugin specially designed to have checkout subscription opt-in on the WooCommerce checkout page. So without WooCommerce it wont work.
Where I can get the API Keys ?
Login to your SendinBlue account. From your Profile menu – SMTP & API keys menu you can get the API keys needed for configuration page.
Which Version of API Keys is compatible ?
This plugin developed for V3 API Keys.
What is the next step after API, any shortcode need to be needed ?
No not needed. The plugin is very simple. After your configuration on the admin area. The checkbox will be displayed automatically on the WooCommerce checkout page under customer details section.
