## 描述

**ContentCortex – Outdated Content Alerts** helps editorial and content teams find
published posts, pages, and custom post types that have not been updated within 
a defined cadence (e.g., 90 days, 180 days, or a custom duration).

Features include:
 * **Per-Post-Type Day Limits**: Configure independent freshness
targets for Posts, Pages, and any registered public custom post type. * **Outdated
Content Report Table**: Filter by post type and author, search by title, and sort
by staleness. * **Mark as Reviewed**: Reset the outdated clock for an article without
updating `post_modified_gmt` or triggering sitemap/SEO changes. * **Exclusions**:
Exclude specific articles or entire categories/tags from ever appearing in reports.***
Automated Email Digests**: Send weekly, monthly, or quarterly HTML summaries to 
team members with customizable branding, logos, and placeholders. * **Theme Overrides**:
Developers can completely customize email markup via theme templates (`{theme}/contentcortex/
email/digest.php`). * **CSV Export**: Export filtered content reports with built-
in CSV formula injection protection. * **Dashboard Widget & Menu Badge**: Instantly
see how many items need review from your WordPress dashboard.

## 安装

 1. Upload the `contentcortex` directory to your `/wp-content/plugins/` directory.
 2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
 3. Navigate to **Outdated Content > Settings** to configure enabled post types, day
    limits, and email digest schedules.

## 常见问题

### Does “Mark as reviewed” modify my post modified date?

No. Marking an item as reviewed updates a private meta timestamp (`_ocap_last_reviewed`).
It does not modify `post_modified_gmt`, ensuring sitemaps and search engine update
signals remain clean.

### How does the email digest schedule work?

Digests are scheduled via WordPress WP-Cron for your preferred day, time, and recurrence(
weekly, monthly, or quarterly). For low-traffic sites, configuring a system-level
cron job is recommended.

### Can I customize the email template?

Yes! You can customize colors, headers, intros, footers, and logos directly in the
admin settings with a real-time live preview. Additionally, developers can copy `
templates/email/digest.php` to `{theme}/contentcortex/email/digest.php` to customize
the HTML.
