### External Services

This plugin connects to SiteGPT’s external service to provide AI chatbot functionality
on your website.

**What the service is:** SiteGPT is a third-party AI chatbot service that provides
intelligent conversational interfaces for websites.

**What data is sent:** When visitors interact with the chatbot, their messages, 
session data, and potentially IP addresses are sent to SiteGPT’s servers to generate
AI responses. The plugin loads JavaScript from https://sitegpt.ai/widget/[chatbot-
id].js to enable this functionality.

**When data is sent:** Data is transmitted when:
 – The chatbot widget loads on 
your pages – Visitors send messages through the chat interface – The AI generates
responses to user queries

### How to find your Chatbot ID

 1. Log in to your SiteGPT dashboard at https://sitegpt.ai
 2. Select your chatbot from the dashboard
 3. Look for the “Chatbot ID” section
 4. Copy the ID (it looks like: 12345678-abcd-1234-abcd-123456789abc)
 5. Paste it into the WordPress plugin settings

## 安装

 1. Upload the plugin files to the `/wp-content/plugins/sitegpt` directory, or install
    the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly.
 2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress
 3. Go to Settings -> SiteGPT to configure the plugin
 4. Enter your SiteGPT chatbot ID (see instructions below)
 5. Save settings and your chatbot will appear on your site

Your chatbot ID is prominently displayed in your SiteGPT dashboard:
 – Go to https://
sitegpt.ai and log in – Select your chatbot – Look for the “Chatbot ID” section 
with a copy button – The ID is a unique string like “12345678-abcd-1234-abcd-123456789abc”

### Will this work with my theme?

Yes, the plugin is designed to work with any WordPress theme as it injects the chatbot
script into the footer.

### Is there any impact on site performance?

The plugin is very lightweight and the chatbot script loads asynchronously, so there’s
