# Topline Character Counter

## 描述

Topline Character Counter adds a live character and word counter to the Gutenberg
editor toolbar.

It displays:

 * Total number of characters
 * Number of characters without spaces
 * Number of words

The counter updates automatically while you edit your post.

## 安装

 1. Install and activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
 2. Open a post or page in the Gutenberg editor.
 3. The character and word counter will appear in the top editor toolbar.

### Will it slow down my editor?

No. The plugin uses lightweight JavaScript and WordPress hooks.

### Does it work with Gutenberg?

Yes. The plugin is designed specifically for the Gutenberg block editor.
