Getting started

To get started, you should create an account on VdoCipher. You will then find an API secret key in the Config section of the dashboard. You will need this API secret key to use the video plugin. You can upload vidoes to the VdoCipher dashboard, or import directly from URL or Dropbox.

Activate the “VdoCipher” plugin .
Click on the settings link or go to Settings > VdoCipher to configure.
Enter the API key that you received from VdoCipher and click Save.

Your video plugin is ready to use. Inside a post or page you can write [vdo id="id_of_video"] to embed the video in a post or page.

To set width and height use, [vdo id="id_of_video" width="300" and height="200"]

So, I tried this vdocipher plugin recently for my course website with Learndash LMS , i was able to prevent videos from download and also have a viewer specific watermark. Integration was quick and I could customize the player color and controls as well. They do not have a live solution yet, will hope they catch up to live in future.

Hi. Great plugin for secure video streaming. Just only one missing feature: adding support for multiple accounts... Actually, the plugin allows to manage one Vdocipher account for WP integration. It would be great to add multiple accounts management in same plugin installation.

I have been using VdoCipher for the past 18 months and definitely recommend it to anyone who is posting video content and needs to protect their intellectual capital. In the current era where work that was previously done live is now being performed remotely through recordings, it is imperative to protect business content from being freely duplicated and distributed through social media. VdoCipher delivers this, and prevents users from simply right-clicking or using the multitudes of free apps to download & save the source video files. And, when I have needed help or have questions, I have received answers to my emails consistently within 24hrs.

1) Doesnt have full API based integration with Learndash as Learndash has not enabled it. So all Learndash features are not available e.g. Video Progression Control. 2) Some integration issue within Wordpress as pages got locked for editing after inserting the shortcode. Have to change the video streaming service provider now.
