Youmanize rewrites AI-generated text so it reads like it was naturally written by a human, without leaving WordPress.
- Works in the block editor (sidebar panel: rewrite selected blocks or the whole post) and in the classic editor (toolbar button: rewrite the selection or the whole content).
- Four tones (Natural, Professional, Casual, Concise) and an adjustable strength.
- Facts, dates, numbers, names, prices and links are never changed.
- Markup is preserved: block comments, shortcodes, HTML attributes and code are never rewritten.
- Optional human review: a professional reviewer rewrites your post by hand, then you insert the delivered text in one click.
- Your API key stays on the server. Editors talk to a WordPress REST proxy; WordPress talks to the Youmanize API.
A Youmanize account is required. The free plan includes 5,000 words per month.
External services
This plugin connects to the Youmanize API, a third-party service operated by Youmanize, to rewrite text. The plugin cannot rewrite anything without it.
What is sent, and when:
- When you trigger a rewrite in the editor, the selected text (or the whole post content) is sent to https://youmanize.me/api/v1/humanize, along with the tone and strength you picked and, if you selected one, the identifier of your own saved voice profile.
- When the settings page or the editor sidebar loads, the plugin calls https://youmanize.me/api/v1/keys/verify to validate your API key and display your plan and remaining word quota. Only your API key is sent.
- If you order the optional human review, the post content is sent to https://youmanize.me/api/reviews/order so a reviewer can work on it, and the plugin calls https://youmanize.me/api/v1/reviews to display the status of your orders.
Nothing is sent until you explicitly trigger one of these actions, and every request is authenticated with the API key you provide. No data is transmitted on activation or in the background.

Do I need an account?

Yes. Rewriting happens on the Youmanize API, which requires an API key. The free plan covers 5,000 words per month.

Will it change my facts or break my layout?

No. Facts, dates, numbers, names, prices and links are preserved, and so is your markup: block comments, shortcodes, HTML attributes and code are never rewritten. Only prose is.

Will my text stay in its original language?

Yes. The rewrite always stays in the language of the text you submit.

Does it guarantee a score on AI detectors?

No, and be wary of any tool that promises one. AI detectors are unreliable in both directions. Youmanize transforms the style of your text; the optional human review is the tier where a real person rewrites it by hand.

Ordering bills the site owner, and the list covers the whole Youmanize account, so neither belonged to every user who can write a post. Both capabilities are filterable: youmanize_review_capability and youmanize_rewrite_capability.
